The Handbook documents all of the stories published during the lifetime of the Brothers Grimm. Each story is accompanied by extensive commentary. Special attention is paid to the ongoing life of the stories and the processes of revitalization they have experienced across the most diverse range of literary genres and audiovisual media. The Second Edition has been substantially enlarged and amplified by findings in the recent research literature.
