Gesunde Lehrkräfte in gesunden Schulen - Eine Einführung

Depression and burnout have become typical occupational diseases for teachers. Healthy teachers are obviously a prerequisite for successful teaching work. On the basis of selected theoretical models and research-based findings, this volume examines the issue of how teachers can stay healthy in their profession over the longer term. Promotion of health is considered from the points of view of both the individual teacher and the school; the whole range of a teacher=s professional biography is examined. The textbook can be used for courses for student teachers and in-service training for teachers, as well as for school management and steering groups for workplace health promotion in schools.

Prof. Silvio Herzog is Rector of Schwyz University of Education. Prof. Anita Sandmeier is Senior Researcher there at the Institute for Professional Research and Personnel Development. Dr. Benita Affolter is Director of Studies at Thurgau University of Education.
